Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 30th 2026
Your information has a home here, and I keep it tidy. This page explains what I collect, why I collect it and what you can ask me to do with it. It's short and in plain English.
Who I am
CRM Whisperers is a one-person consultancy run by Maria Doucette, based in Canada. I'm the person responsible for privacy here. Questions about this page? Email maria@crmwhisperers.com.
What I collect
When you fill in a form, book a chat or subscribe to my blog emails, I receive what you type in. That's usually your name, email address, company and message.
This site also uses cookies to see which pages people visit. The cookie banner lets you accept or decline them, and you can change your mind anytime.
How I use it
- To reply to you, and to schedule and prepare for our chat.
- To send you blog emails, only if you subscribed.
- To see which pages are most useful, so I can keep improving the site.
I don't sell, rent or trade your information.
Where it's kept
Everything you send through this site goes into my HubSpot account, which is stored in Canada. Emails between us are kept in my Google business email. Client project files stay on my own computer. HubSpot, Google and their service providers may process some information outside Canada, under their own privacy terms. That means it may be subject to the laws of those countries.
If you become a client
To tidy up your CRM, I may ask for read-only access or an export of your data. Here's how I look after it:
- I use it only for the work we agree on.
- I don't sell it, share it or use it for my own marketing.
- I back up your data before any changes, so we can always roll back. I keep each backup for 30 days, then delete it.
- When the project wraps up, I delete any files I downloaded within 30 days.
- I sometimes use AI tools or scripts to standardize and clean data faster, which can save you time and money. I only use AI tools on your data with your OK.
- If you'd like me to sign a confidentiality agreement, I'm happy to.
Your CRM provider (Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive or another) keeps your data under its own agreement with you. That part stays between you and them.
Who else sees it
Only the tools I use to run my business: HubSpot for this website, forms, bookings and emails, and Google for my business email. If you're a client and you've agreed to it, an AI tool may also process your data for your project. These providers handle information on my behalf under their own privacy terms. I don't pass your details to anyone else, unless the law requires it.
Keeping it safe
My HubSpot and email accounts are password-protected, with two-step sign-in turned on. Project files stay on my password-protected computer.
Your choices
- See, correct or delete: email me and I'll take care of it within 30 days.
- Blog emails: every email has an unsubscribe link. One click and you're off the list.
- Cookies: decline them in the banner, or clear them in your browser settings anytime.
If you're not happy with how I've handled your information, please tell me first so I can make it right. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
